With a background in Natural Sciences and a career spanning science communication and STEM education, Lisa is keen to always give back to science and encourage the love and understanding of science to young minds.
Since 2005, Lisa has authored or consulted on a range of best-selling and award-nominated science books, working mostly with Dorling Kindersley, Penguin Random House.
Lisa's first book series was the Mini Scientist series for pre-schoolers published by Dorling Kindersley, becoming one of the first to introduce science to that age group.
This was written alongside her own daughters being young and exploratory.

Lisa’s writing is part of a much wider mission to inspire scientific thinking in children. She has spoken at science festivals, including the Cheltenham Science Festival, opened Science Week Ireland, and continues to work on science-focused events and documentaries.
